Christian Sholly, 32, and Josiah Silva, 23, both of Exton, were arrested on drug charges after authorities made simultaneous busts at their individual residents in the 400 block of Henley Drive on Friday, Oct. 4, according to the district attorney's office.
About 60 pounds of marijuana was seized from one home along with $180,000 in cash, designer jewelry, and five guns, the news release states. Three cars were also seized, including a BMW X6 M Competition, Tesla Model S Platinum, and Honda Passport.
Days later, another 120 pounds of marijuana was recovered from a storage unit belonging to Sholly, according to the district attorney's office. The storage unit also contained:
- 50 THC vapes.
- 286 THC wax cannisters.
- Drug packaging material.
- A scale.
- Two handguns, one of which was a ghost gun.
"This was a home invasion waiting to happen," Chester County District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe said in the news release. "The Defendants had an absurd amount of marijuana, cash, and jewelry."
Both men were each charged with:
- Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession with Intent to Deliver.
- Possession of a Controlled Substance.
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
- Dealing in Proceeds from Unlawful Activities.
- Criminal Use of Communication Facility.
Sholly was also charged with Possession of Firearm Prohibited, according to court documents.
Bail was set at $250,000 each, court records state. Sholly is being held in the Chester County Prison. Silva posted bail.
Formal arraignment for Sholly is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 21, according to court documents. Silva's formal arraignment took place on Thursday, Oct. 24. Court documents currently show no upcoming proceedings for Silva.
Sholly pleaded guilty to drug manufacturing and dealing charges in Luzerne County for incidents in January and March 2014, court documents state. He also faced gun and drug possession charges in September 2012 and July 2018, respectively.
